Charles Walker

Charles Walker, Senior Partner

Charles left school to join the family business in July 1956 and has been the Managing Partner since 1968. As he approaches 60 years within the business, literally nobody can claim to have the breadth and depth of knowledge and experience of Estate Agency in Nottingham. Charles is a Fellow of the RICS and has overall responsibility for the management of the business. Charles is involved with a wide range of local community organisations and has strong ties to local sports, having been an active member of both Notts Athletics Club and Nottingham Casuals RFC, a life member of Notts CCC and a longstanding season ticket holder at Notts County.

Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor, Partner

Jonathan initially joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2000, becoming a Partner in 2008 having previously earned a BSc in Estate Management. Jonathan oversees the dayto day management of the Lettings and Management departments. Jonathan enjoys opportunities for quality family time and coaches his son’s junior football team. A keen runner and cyclist, Jonathan is also a VW enthusiast.

Dan Walker

Dan Walker, Partner

Dan entered the business in 1999 after gaining valuable experience in the property industry with DTZ in Manchester and the Redrow Commercial Developments to support his BSc in Land Management from Reading University. Dan is a Member of the RICS with over 25 years post qualification experience. Dan became a Partner of the business in 2004 and today oversees the Commercial, Block Management and Student Letting departments. Out of work, Dan enjoys sports, cycling, music and travelling to Greece.

Sean Neal, Partner

Sean joined C.P. Walker & Son in 1998, becoming a Partner in 2004. With overall responsibility for the insurance department, Sean has a wealth of nearly 30 years’ experience within the Insurance industry and has been solely responsible for developing a selection of our own unique brand of insurance products. Away from work Sean is a classic car enthusiast and enjoys travel.

Rex Walker

Rex Walker, Residential Lettings Manager

Rex joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2009 having previously earned an MA in Property Valuation and Law. Rex oversees the residential lettings team and provides strategic advice to Clients in relation to their existing and potential future properties. Rex has two young children and is a qualified rugby union referee as well as being an enthusiastic but ‘developing’ member of the office golf society.

Bev Launder

Bev Launder, Insurance Advisor

Bev joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2009 and has nearly 40 years total experience of working in the insurance industry. Specialising in property owners’ insurance, Bev advises on all types of personal and commercial insurance, obtaining new quotes and dealing with alterations. Away from work Bev is a keen cricket fan, having played indoor cricket and now a member of Notts CCC and also enjoys horror films, eating out and spending money!

Chris Burton

Chris Burton, Commercial Property

Chris joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2014 to join our commercial property department. He has a broad range of responsibilities across our commercial portfolio including letting, rent reviews, renewals and day-to-day management. Chris is working towards his Assessment of Professional Competence with the RICS in addition to his daily work. He is an international hockey goalkeeper and represents Beeston hockey club.

Craig Rhodes, Property Protector Scheme Underwriter

Craig has 20 years of experience in insurance and has worked for C.P. Walker & Son since 2013. His work involves processing renewals, adjustments, claims and new business for the Property Protector scheme. Craig is Dad to 3 children and enjoys the gym as well as rock and metal music.

Dan Ford, Property Protector Scheme Underwriter

Dan has worked with C.P. Walker & Son since 2005 and is a Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He applies the terms and conditions for commercial and residential Property Protector policies and liaises with insurers and brokers. Dan is a keen squash player and follower of both Glasgow Rangers and Nottingham Forest and enjoys trips to Slovakia with his fiancé.

Darren Holmes

Darren Holmes, Property Protector Scheme Underwriter

Darren has worked in insurance for over 28 years, and with C.P. Walker & Son since 2007. Working within Property Protector, he quotes for and issues new policies and liaises with brokers and claims departments regarding claims queries. Aside from being a Dad to two daughters, both at University, Darren is a keen sports fan despite being a Leicester City season ticket holder.

Jade Longdon

Jade Longdon, Lettings Assistant Manager

Having joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2012 Jade has gained broad experience across our lettings department, working with both professional and student properties in both negotiating and administration as well as overseeing the carrying out of inventories. She completed a Level 3 qualification in residential Letting and Property Management in 2016 and subsequently earned promotion to Lettings Assistant Manager. Away from the Office Jade enjoys being outdoors and keeping active, regularly attending the gym and camping (not always at Festivals!)

Jan has been a member of the C.P. Walker & Son team since 2010 and has over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry. She handles renewals for our larger portfolio Clients within Property Protector. Jan is an accomplished pastels drawing artist and enjoys completing animal portraits.

Jane Holmes, Insurance Accounts Administrator

Jane has been with C.P. Walker & Son since 2004 and has a wealth of experience within the insurance industry. She settles the retail insurance and Property Protector accounts, carries out the daily banking and produces risk information for the Property Protector scheme. Aside from being Beeston Sainsbury’s best customer, Jane is a proud Grandmother of four, loyal member of Notts CCC and a devotee of Take That and Strictly.

Jean McCafferty, Client Account Administrator

It would be easier to obtain the recipe for Coca Cola than to find out exactly how long Jean has worked for C.P. Walker & Son, but suffice to say that Jean is a well-established member of our team. Jean’s primary work involves preparing statements and paying Landlords and dealing with associated enquiries. Our resident animal lover, Jean is also a fan of the Big Bang Theory.

Jo Martin, Client Account Administrator

Jo deals with Client Account reconciliation and ensuring our Client Account procedures comply with the strict RICS guidelines. With lengthy accounts experience, Jo is a Member of both the Association of Accounting Technicians and Institute of Credit Management. Jo enjoys travel, socialising and watching her son play cricket.

Judith Smith, Commercial Insurance Advisor

With over 20 years industry experience, Judith joined C.P. Walker & Son in 1999 and principally handles commercial renewals and new business for Tradesmen, shops and offices. Judith has a range of skills that come in handy around the office and at home, having built her own computer and fitted her own kitchen.

Julie Hobbs

Julie Hobbs, Lettings Administrator

Julie joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2004 and is responsible for much of the administration within the Lettings department such as in-house Tenant referencing, drafting Tenancy Agreements and preparatory administration at the start of tenancies. Our resident Travel Agent, Julie enjoys going on her own, and organising everyone else’s, holidays as well as reading and following Nottingham Forest.

Lesley Gray, Office Accounts Clerk

England hadn’t won the World cup when Lesley joined C.P. Walker & Son, in June 1966. Over her 50 years, Lesley has fulfilled a number of roles and today looks after our office accounts, paying suppliers and processing incoming commissions. Away from work Lesley enjoys pitting her wits against crosswords and being an active member of the church choir.

Mark Finnigan

Mark Finnigan, Residential Sales Manager

Mark came to C.P. Walker & Son in 2003 and can boast experience of selling properties spanning over 30 years. With responsibility for managing the residential sales department and valuing properties, Mark has built up extensive knowledge of the market in our area. Aside from being Dad to Alex, James, Emma and Rocky the dog, Mark is interested in photography and QPR as well as being a regular member of the office Golf Society, injury permitting.

Mike Rowe, Clients Account Administrator

Mike initially joined C.P. Walker & Son as an Apprentice in 2013 and has since developed into a key member of the Clients Account department. His primary roles include making payments to Tradesmen, credit control, assisting with bank reconciliation and processing Tenant deposit returns. Mike is working towards his Level 4 AAT qualification having gained Level 3 in 2014. Away from work, Mike is father to young daughters and has a keen interest in astronomy, computers and following Nottingham Panthers.

Neil is father to two young children and, if time allows, enjoys playing cricket and following Derby County.

Richard Holmes, Business Development Underwriter

Richard's experience in the insurance industry totals over 45 years and he has worked with C.P. Walker & Son since 2002. With responsibilities spanning the retail and wholesale sides of the business, Richard looks after our major Property Protector accounts and is an account executive for our retail customers. Richard is a member of the Association of Chartered Insurance Institute. A keen sports fan, Richard is an avid follower of Notts CCC and Nottingham Forest.

Ryan Squire

Ryan Squire, Business Development Manager

Ryan has over 40 years experience in the insurance industry, joining C.P. Walker & Son in 2013. A member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, Ryan creates enquiries for the Property Protector product from brokers across the country working with around 650 independent brokers and members of the Broker Network. Ryan is a passionate Welsh rugby supporter and has developed an interest in the other main national pastime – singing – specifically barber shop.

Stephen Reece

Stephen Reece, Property Manager

Stephen joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2005 and has developed into a key member of the team, working across a number of departments. He handles block management at sites such as Anglo Scotian Mills and The Manor, as well as working within student lettings, dealing with the check-in and check-out processes and contracts. Stephen is an Associate of the Institute of Property Management. Father to three young children, Stephen is a keen car and motor racing aficionado and is a first port of call when colleagues are buying new cars!

Val has 40 years experience in the insurance industry and joined C.P. Walker & Son in 2009. She maintains a client portfolio, advising on personal insurance and attracting new business for the same. Val is a National Trust Member and enjoys country walks as well as socialising with friends.

Remi Mason

Remi Mason, Sales Negotiator

Remi joined C.P. Walker & Son in January 2016 as our Apprentice Sales Negotiator, completing her Apprenticeship in 2017. She now holds a Level 2 NVQ in the Sale of Residential Property. With previous experience of retail and sales, Remi has rapidly translated this knowledge into the property industry. Remi takes a leading role in preparing marketing materials, booking viewings and obtaining resulting feedback. She also has the unenviable but crucial job of maintaining our system for logging keys. Away from the Office, Remi has a keen interest in fashion, regularly making her own garments. She also enjoys exploring the countryside on long walks with her dogs - but not too long - so that she misses Eastenders!

Alice Fawcett

Alice Fawcett, Property Management Administrator

Alice joined the property management department in 2017 with over two years industry-related experience with a national company involved with surveying. Alice's role covers a wide range of responsibility across the residential property management department; arranging inspections, following-up on repairs, liaising with utility companies at the start and end of tenancies, and providing admin support to the department. Away from the Office, Alice is most likely to be found either in the gym, at the pub or getting stuck into a good TV box-set.

Tawanda Mushambi

Tawanda Mushambi, Apprentice Accounts Administrator

Tawanda joined the business in 2017 as an Apprentice in the Clients Accounts Department. Tawanda's provides general support to the Clients Accounts department, specifically with invoices for maintenance matters and credit control. As part of the Apprenticeship he studies towards the AAT Level 2 Accounting qualification. Tawanda plays football to a high standard and is involved with fundraising for a number of charities.

Vicki Hack, Lettings Negotiator

Vicki became the latest member of our thriving Lettings Department in the summer of 2017 after completing her A Level studies. Vicki prepares marketing details for properties; arranges and conducts viewings; and deals with applications when they are received. Vicki has previously worked in the retail sector and also in the racehorse industry. She is an accomplished horsewoman in her own right.

Matt Frazer

Matt Frazer, Property Management Coordinator

Matt joined the Property Management department at C.P. Walker & Son in 2017. With a background in both the property industry and service sector, Matt is particularly well suited to the Property Management Coordinator role. Matt is responsible for managing the condition of our managed residential properties. This involves periodically inspecting to assess condition and taking appropriate follow up action; and reacting to maintenance matters. Away from the office, Matt has a penchant for long-haul holidays and socialising with friends. He's officially the only staff member to get a weekly haircut!
