September Open Event Postponement

Our #Beeston2020Vision open event, planned for 25 September 2020, will be postponed until at least next Spring - or for as long as Covid remains a threat to audiences. 

In the meantime we continue to look for new contributions, particularly from younger people, while encouraging interactive comment on the associated Facebook page:

Postponement helps if we can attract more fresh ideas and discussion from local people prepared to share their thoughts with a wider audience.  

Progress is encouraging.  We have received forty submissions since January, more than one a week - a great start to a conversation about the future of Beeston. 

These views are creating a pool of ideas for improving Beeston’s sense of identity, quality of place, policies and priorities. 

Contributors so far include Broxtowe Mayor Janet Patrick, Youth Mayor Grace Li, former Youth Mayor Will Mee, Jeanie Barton and Tamar Feast. These and others represent different outlooks from a spread of ages, backgrounds and interests across the Beeston community. Add to your own ideas. Encourage others. All are welcome.

Every new contribution helps broaden the base. Add your reactions for posting on the Facebook page too.  It is the ideas that count, not necessarily the expression. 

This is your chance to contribute towards an agenda for a stronger more resilient Beeston community post lockdown. Get involved.
